How to track media coverage and backlinks for your content

Hi Ava,

Day 3! How are things going?

Today, we thought it would be helpful to show you how to quickly set up Alerts to monitor who is mentioning your brand or content across media.

Step 1 - Create a New Alert in Monitoring

Monitoring is a real-time dashboard that displays the mentions we find from the 3 million articles we add to our database every day.

To monitor mentions of your brand, keywords, or even backlinks to your pieces, start by creating a new Alert.

(Hint: if you are trying to monitor a common name, we recommend using the "Case sensitive" filter to remove irrelevant matches.)

Step 2 - Set up notifications

You can view new mentions in the app, send them via email to any valid address, or integrate directly into a Slack channel.

Step 3 - Refine, optimize, and compare

Once we've populated results, you can go back into the "Edit" panel and make changes to refine your feed.

Block certain keywords, set a language filter - whatever best suits your needs.

You can then compare any two Alerts to track performance.

Cheers,
